After a disappointing weekend at Ulysse, the Faucons came back with vengeance, attending Trinity College School 1st Annual Showcase.
They would again face stiff competition and needed to be ready, and that’s just what they did.
Their first two games would be against Somang (6-3) and Blyth (4-2) which both resulted in wins. In order to get to the finals, they would need to beat the defending PSHF 2018-2019 Champions A21 Academy.
The game would go back and forth, with both teams taking momentum throughout the game. Late in the final period, A21 would pull their goalie to try and even the score 3-3 but the Faucons would score on the empty net winning the game 4-2.
The Faucons would face the host team Trinity College School in the finals, who won all three of their round robin games easily. The game turned into a tight checking low scoring affair and would end 1-1 in regulation. The Faucons took a penalty before the end of regulation so would start overtime shorthanded.
The Faucons did a great job killing off the penalty, giving Trinity limited opportunities to score. With three minutes to go, captain Pineshish Whiteduck would seal the win and championship with a shot beating the goalie low blocker.
